Edelbrock Supercharger Kits for 2014-2020 GMC Yukon Denalis Deliver Top Performance

Upscale buyers seeking luxurious transportation for up to seven passengers tend to favor 2014-2020 GMC Yukon Denalis with the 420 horsepower 6.2L V8. These rolling land yachts offer smooth performance, good power, great styling and interior appointments worthy of royalty. Many owners are also hot rodders or racers of some form and they really can't bear to leave their vehicles stock, especially when they tow their toys to the racetrack, sand dunes or the river. While 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque is great factory power, Edelbrock has got a, bolt-on, 150 horsepower, 50-State legal E-Force supercharger upgrade ready to ship for owners who want to increase their towing capacity and one-up their buddies.

The kit shown in this installation, PN 15664, fits 2014-2018 GM Truck and SUVs as well as 2019-2020 GM SUVs (engine codes L83, L86 and L8B). Owners who have the 5.3L V8 can select PN 15663 which specifically fits their application.

Edelbrock's supercharger kits are among the most powerful and reliable in the industry. They are also available for vehicles equipped with the standard 5.3Lu00a0 GM V8 and a broad variety of pickups across the range of domestic luxury and utility haulers. This particular installation was performed on a 2018 Denali, but rest assured that whatever you drive, they likely have a dedicated kit to add considerable grunt to your vehicle's performance. These kits are emissions certified and 50 state legal across the board so you'll never have an issue, even with bi-annual California smog inspections. While the Edelbrock E-Force nameplate is prominent, every installed kit provides an OEM appearance to keep your vehicle looking factory stock while providing a whopping 150 horsepower increase on demand. The boost in towing capacity is well worth the effort. Check out the following back to back test.
This particular Denali delivered 400 rear-wheel horsepower on the chassis dyno, increasing to 550 horsepower with the supercharger. It gained more than 130 lb-ft of torque with a fatter curve and more area under the curve. Peak torque came in at 513 lb-ft and it held over 500 lb-ft from 4000 rpm to 5500 rpm. That fat torque curve is just what you are looking for in a tow application. It will easily haul a car or toy hauler trailer or a boat.
Some disassembly is required on the front end to install the heat exchanger and related components but the procedure is not difficult and can be accomplished with basic hand tools. The air to water heat exchanger uses a stand-alone circulation pump and coolant that is separate from the engine coolant. The E-Force supercharger also incorporates its own sealed lubrication system with a 100,000 mile service interval.

This is the perfect power adder for your Yukon Denali whether you plan to tow a trailer, haul heavier loads, or you just want to feel a tremendous boost in power without sacrificing daily drivability! The new Edelbrock supercharger Kit #15664 for Chevy/GMC/Cadillac trucks and SUVsu00a0 features an all-new manifold that now houses Eaton's biggest R2650 TVS rotors with 170-degree high-twist lobes, bigger bearings and beefier timing gears for unparalleled efficiency and reliability. The Edelbrock supercharger Kit for the 6.2L V8 fits under the stock hood with no cutting or modifications. And if you're concerned about the effect on MPG, the increase in power comes with little to no loss in fuel economy thanks to the supercharger's integrated bypass valve that mitigates parasitic power loss during normal driving.

This is a true bolt-on kit that requires no additional modifications to the stock 6.2L engine. The Edelbrock supercharger features a self-contained lubrication system with a 100,000-mile service interval with a high-capacity Dual-Pass 3-Core (DP3C) integrated intercooler.u00a0 It is finished in a durable factory-looking black powder-coating that blends perfectly with the engine. Kits includes a fullu00a0 set of preformed hoses, all hardware and a full-color manual that provides clear step-by-step instructions for ease of installation. This system is designed and manufactured in the USA and is covered by a free 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.

Note that this kit is designed to fully integrate with factory components. It comes with a unique CARB/EPA certified ECM calibration that cannot be altered. To maintain 50-state legality it is not compatible with any further under-hood modifications. It is compatible with any aftermarket CAT-back exhaust system for those who wish to install one. It is important to ensure that your original factory calibration is stored in case it needs to be reloaded. Before you begin, go to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall page, at www.nhtsa.gov/recalls, and enter your VIN number . If nothing comes up, you may proceed with the installation. If any open recalls are shown, take your truck to the dealer and have them fixed before installing the E-Force kit. Failure to do so may result in error codes and a check engine light because a factory error is affecting the Edelbrock's CARB/EPA calibration.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR WARRANTY WHEN INSTALLING CARB/EPA CERTIFIED PERFORMANCE PARTS
Much to their credit, many aftermarket performance parts companies have long made the effort to test and certify their parts and kits to comply with CARB/EPA standards. This has led to broad availability of legal and affordable performance parts, but it hasn't necessarily addressed the specter of OEM dealership indifference when it comes to repair work on newer cars and trucks that are still under warranty protection. Many dealerships still will not honor warranty requirements if you have modified the vehicle with performance parts even though they have been certified compliant. So what can you do to protect your asset and still enjoy modding it to suit your personal taste? Your best bet is to locate a dealership where the service department understands performance parts and is willing to work with them. Buy your new truck or car from that dealership. If they think they are going to lose the sale they may even be willing to put it in writing with certain agreed upon technical caveats.
By establishing a strong rapport with a dealer who you have favored with your purchase you can minimize potential headaches later on. Talk directly to the service manager particularly with regard to components that may or may not affect ECM programming. During the course of modding our Denali with the Edelbrock E-Force supercharger, we were fortunate to align with a local dealership where the service manager and some of the technicians are fully aware of the technical issues and know how to address them. When we thought there might be a problem because the check engine light was on, they assured us there were no recalls in effect. They removed the Edelbrock exclusive programming and verified that the light was on due to another problem which they quickly remedied. Then they reloaded the Edelbrock supercharger program and we were good to go. Their competence and expertise was more than refreshing and they fully understood that top tier manufacturers such as Edelbrock do their homework thoroughly and competently because they want to pass emission requirements and protect their reputation asu00a0 manufacturers of quality parts.
We found extraordinarily friendly and competent service to remedy our check engine light situation at Simi Valley Chevrolet in Simi Valley, California. The Service Manager was already familiar with aftermarket superchargers and their programming.
Establish a strong rapport with the Service Manager and service writers once you locate a dealer to buy from. Ask if they have an in-house technical guru familiar with aftermarket supercharger kits and ask if you can meet them.
